The 2nd Street Watermain and Roadway Reconstruction project, located between Ballarat Avenue North and Bendigo Boulevard on 2nd Street, is now complete. Project
enhancements include fresh asphalt, sidewalk, curb, storm drainage replacement, and watermain replacement.
The project is an important element of the City’s 2023-2028 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program, in addition to being a crucial component of the 2020 Water System
Plan. This work improves transportation infrastructure, while also reducing water Distribution System Leakage (DSL), as an ongoing commitment to replacing aging, critical
infrastructure with new watermains that continue to provide reliable and high-quality water.
