Applications now open for the City’s first North Bend Citizens Academy

Are you interested in learning about how your local government works here in the City of North Bend? Want to learn about opportunities to become more involved, while connecting with City leaders, staff, and other civic-minded residents?

If so, please consider applying for the 2023 North Bend Citizens Academy. The Citizens Academy is a seven-week interactive course designed to provide an in-depth look into city operations. It will be held weekly, from February 6th to March 21st, 2023. Most classes will take place at the North Bend City Hall with one course located at the Snoqualmie Police Department. There will be an additional option for a tour of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will be offered at a later date.

This free program is open to City residents who are 16 years and older. Class size is limited to the first 15 City residents.

Applications are being accepted through January 17, and classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply, please fill out an application which can be found on the City website, at the Citizens Academy webpage. Return it either via email to Communications Manager, Bre Keveren, at bkeveren@northbendwa.gov, or via mail at the City of North Bend, attn. Bre Keveren, 920 SE Cedar Falls Way, North Bend, WA 98045, or in-person at City Hall.
