Microsoft has shared a series of insights through its recent tweets, reflecting on historical milestones and current technological advancements. These posts cover significant developments from the company’s past, such as Bill Gates’ influential memo, to contemporary innovations like the TAMM app in Abu Dhabi and Bing’s evolution.

On February 6, 2025, Microsoft tweeted about a pivotal moment in its history: “In 1995, Bill Gates’ ‘Internet Tidal Wave’ memo shifted Microsoft’s focus to the Internet, leading to the rise of Internet Explorer and showcasing the importance of agility and foresight in tech disruption.” This highlights how strategic shifts can drive significant industry changes.

Later that day, Microsoft highlighted advancements in digital services offered by Abu Dhabi’s government. The tweet stated: “Abu Dhabi’s government offers over 900 services, like car registration and birth certificates, through the free TAMM app. Last year, it handled over 10 million transactions, saving paper and reducing wait times for 2.5 million people and businesses.”

On February 7, 2025, Microsoft reflected on Bing’s development since its launch in 2009. They tweeted: “In 2009, @bing launched to tackle information overload with features like Best Match and Price Predictor. Now, Bing has evolved into an intelligent tool, enhancing the search experience for users.” This underscores Bing’s continuous adaptation to meet user needs.
