City Council Approves Retention Pay for City Employees

0Comments

In appreciation of the  value provided by the City of Sammamish workforce and to incentivize the  retention of City employees, the City Council approved two Resolutions  during their

July 19 meeting authorizing payment of a retention bonus to  eligible employees. The bonuses of up to $2,500 are available to  employees working in a full or part time position as of

July 19, and the  amount varies depending on how frequently the employee works on-site  for their shifts. To read the resolutions, please click on the links  below.

During the discussion of these Resolutions, Councilmembers commented  on their appreciation for the great staff team and about the vital need  to retain employees. The City would

like to thank its partner AFSCME  Local 1425, the labor group that represents the majority of City staff,  for working together on this initiative.
