Former Bellevue High School standout Kengo Shirokane took the field with the Whitman Blues during their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Puget Sound Loggers at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 14. The Blues were defeated 12-5 in the matchup.

The contest, held at Borleske Stadium, marked the second meeting between the teams this season. In the earlier game that same day, the Blues lost 8-6 against the Loggers.

Shirokane pitched 0.1 innings, allowing two earned runs and issuing one walk.

The Blues are set to face the Puget Sound Loggers again at Borleske Stadium at 12 p.m. Sunday, March 15.
