Microsoft promoted a series of holiday-themed sweaters through its official Twitter account in early December 2025. The posts highlighted a Zune-inspired sweater and encouraged engagement with their holiday collection.

On December 1, 2025, Microsoft posted, “A Zune holiday sweater? #MicrosoftUglySweater https://t.co/36xqdKPqqC”. Later that day, the company followed up with another tweet: “Check out the holiday sweaters: https://t.co/ccXDl2p0Oz”.

Two days later, on December 3, 2025, Microsoft continued its social media campaign by posting, “Like this post if you agree. https://t.co/BWrGoFJv63”.

The Zune device referenced in Microsoft’s initial tweet was a digital media player released in the mid-2000s. While discontinued in 2012, it remains a nostalgic product for some consumers. Holiday sweater promotions have become an annual tradition for Microsoft, featuring designs inspired by past products and technology themes to engage fans during the festive season.
