On May 20, 2025, Microsoft announced a collaboration with Carvana to enhance the car buying experience using AI technology. The company stated, “Car buying is one of life’s biggest decisions. With Microsoft AI and a culture of constant improvement, Carvana is removing friction and raising the bar for customer experiences.” This partnership aims to streamline the process and improve customer satisfaction.

The following day, on May 21, 2025, Microsoft shared insights into its Discovery project. According to the post, “Microsoft Discovery uses specialized AI agents that reason over scientific knowledge, generate hypotheses, and simulate results all in a continuous loop.” One significant achievement mentioned was the discovery of a novel coolant within 200 hours.

Later on May 21, Microsoft offered a glimpse into its past during the Build 2025 conference. The company tweeted about a retro installation allowing attendees to experience working at Microsoft five decades ago. The tweet read: “Talk about a throwback! Check out this retro installation during Microsoft Build 2025 for attendees to experience what working at Microsoft was like 50 years ago.”
