Redmond Mayor Angela Birney and the City of Redmond were recognized last week during the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ 90th Annual Meeting in Reno, Nevada for the City’s climate preparedness work. Mayor Birney received an Honorable Mention in the Small City category of the 2022 Mayors Climate Protection Awards for the City’s Climate Vulnerability and Risk Assessment.

Kirkland saw a 5.1% uptick in Medicaid payments related to Surgery services in 2024, reflecting shifts in service use and payment structures.
In 2024, Bellevue Medicaid providers billed $179,560 for Surgery services, reflecting a 3.3% rise compared with the prior year.
