On July 24, 2022, the Snoqualmie Police Department  responded to a possible attempted child luring incident at Torguson  Park, located at 750 E North Bend Way in North Bend,

WA.

A mother  called 911 to report that a suspicious male subject in the park  attempted to have her five-year-old son walk away with him after  offering him a water gun. Bystanders

intervened, and the male suspect  left the area on a bicycle.

The witness was able to provide a  very accurate description of the suspect to police officers, and an  investigation was launched. With the assistance of an alert North Bend  citizen,

the Snoqualmie Police Department arrested a suspect in this  incident on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.  He was booked into jail for  Attempted Child Luring.

“Without the quick actions of the  witness, and the help of a citizen who recognized the subject riding his  bicycle near Si View Park, this case likely would have a very different

conclusion,” said SPD Captain Brian Lynch. “We are grateful for the  public’s assistance.”
