Restoration Event | Pioneer Park

Want to learn more about the history and ecology of Pioneer Park?

Join us and Pioneer Park expert Rita Moore (Washington Native Plant Society Steward, King County Land/Water Steward, former Pioneer Park Open Space Trust Committee

Member) for an educational tour of Pioneer Park. We will learn about the ecology of the park, the plants/animals/fungus who live here, and some of the challenges it is facing from

non-native plants. We will follow the tour with a chance to help remove some of the ivy and clean-up this beautiful park.

    When: Thursday, August 18, 3pm-5pm

    Where: Pioneer Park SE

What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be

provided.
