At the September 26, 2022, City Council meeting, the Snoqualmie Fire Department introduced the six new members of its robust volunteer firefighting and EMT program.
Snoqualmie’s newest volunteer firefighters are:
Katie Anthony – a Fall City resident, writer, and mom who looks forward to contributing in a meaningful way and supporting the community she calls home.
Mary Beinner – a North Bend resident and Snoqualmie Pass Ski Patrol member who looks forward to utilizing her EMT skills to help the community and serve as a role model for
other women interested in serving as first responders.
Nicko Chavez – a Renton resident who looks forward to serving others and has plans for a future career in fire service.
David Hazelton – an Issaquah resident who is excited for the opportunity to volunteer and serve in a community close to home.
Kyle Liston – a Bellevue resident who decided to volunteer to receive continued training and mentorship to facilitate a career in fire service.
Alex Wolfe – a Renton resident who grew up in nearby Sammamish and is currently a paramedic in Pierce County. He is working toward a career in fire service.
These new members of the Snoqualmie Fire Department Volunteer Program will receive comprehensive training in fire suppression and medical emergencies. They will also receive EMT and Firefighter 1 certifications.
