Auburn School District recently issued the following announcement.
Dear ASD Community,
This week has brought a conversation to our nation that has been below the surface for too long. I am crushed by the pain carried by so many in our community. We shouldn’t wait for another horrific act to trigger our awareness. We must call out racism when we see it, and make it visible when we cannot. I am proud of our work for educational equity – for the success of each and every young person in our school community – and I look forward to partnering with all of you to realize our dream of graduating every student prepared for their future.
