Mercer Island home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Mercer Island rose by $134,750 while total sales decreased by 9.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 38 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,707,250 - a 8.6% increase over the $1,572,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 42 homes sold in Mercer Island in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mercer Island for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,399, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
