City of Bellevue issued the following announcement.
After an extended closure due to COVID-19, the Bellevue Aquatic Center is opening on Wednesday, Aug. 5, by appointment only for pool use.
Pool hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon. The center is closed Sunday. Reservations for lap swim, individual water exercise and warm-water therapy with a therapist will be taken online or over the phone at 425-452-4444, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon.
Group exercise classes, swim lessons and pool party rentals will be available in a future phase of the governor’s “Safe Start” plan. The decision to open the pool follows the Safe Start guidelines for Phase 2, the phase the county is in now, which allows certain activities and businesses to operate.
Participants will be required to wear a mask at all times when not in the water. Guests are also asked to pay with credit or debit card or check, and to arrive dressed in their swimsuits to minimize contact with others.
Bellevue’s golf courses and outdoor tennis courts opened in June, followed by ballfields for small groups last month. Playgrounds, sports courts and community centers remain closed until further notice.
