City of Newcastle issued the following announcement.
The City of Newcastle is excited to announce a partnership with SeeClickFix, a citizen engagement platform that streamlines the submission process for citizens to report non-emergency issues via mobile devices and computers. The transition to SeeClickFix is being done in an effort to improve the quality of service to the City’s residents and business owners.
Now when Newcastle residents see something amiss, for example, graffiti, traffic signal malfunction, overgrown vegetation, potholes, traffic concerns, or abandoned vehicles, they can file a report via a few simple clicks on their mobile device. The report is then sent directly to the appropriate City department. Users will receive real-time updates on the city's progress on fixing the issue.
With the free SeeClickFix mobile app and web tools, Newcastle citizens will now be able to provide City staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and more — valuable information needed to get your concerns addressed efficiently. SeeClickFix integrates seamlessly into existing service requests software used by the city. This reduces the need for staff to input information from online forms and allows for more effective response time and tracking of issues.
The SeeClickFix mobile app is available for free download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile apps, citizens can submit reports on our website’s SeeClickFix portal at www.newcastlewa.gov/report. As a reminder, SeeClickFix should only be used for reporting non-emergency issues. If you have an emergency, please call 911 immediately.
