HIGHLINE SCHOOL DISTRICT: How Teachers Communicate with Families

Ells

Highline School District issued the following announcement.

We have multiple communication platforms teachers are able to use to reach out to you. Your student’s teacher will let you know how they will be communicating with you. Please see the tools below and watch this short video on where to find this information on our website.

ParentVUE/StudentVUE

To access ParentVUE and StudentVUE, visit highlineschools.org/grades.

Use ParentVUE and StudentVUE to message teachers in multiple languages and check grades.

When your child’s teacher sends a message through ParentVUE, you will receive an email. To respond, you must log in to your ParentVUE account.

SUPPORT FOR PARENTVUE

If you need support or an activation key for ParentVUE/StudentVUE, please reach out to your student’s school office.

Text Messaging Through Remind

Teachers may send quick updates by text message using the Remind platform. You can also receive these messages through the Remind app. (Download in your app store.)  Remind supports two-way texting, so you can respond back to the teacher.

SUPPORT FOR REMIND

If you need general support, please reach out to Remind at support@remind.com or you can access the Remind help within the app or online portal. You can live chat with the Remind support team.

Access tutorial videos and more information on our website on our Return to Learn Family resource page.

Phone Calls

Teachers may check in with families by phone call. Please note that teachers will call using an app that may block Caller ID or use a number that does not appear as a school district number.
