The second quarter of 2021: Mercer Island experienced a 31.1% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Mercer Island rose by $507,000 while total sales increased by 39.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 64 homes sold, with a median sale price of $2,137,500 - a 31.1% increase over the $1,630,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 46 homes sold in Mercer Island in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Mercer Island for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,399, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
