City of Mercer Island issued the following announcement on Feb. 17.
Last weekend, a crew of 15 headed to Upper Luther Burbank Park for a volunteer planting event - they spent about four hours planting 420 new native trees and shrubs! Their hard work helped our teams stabilize and restore the area's natural habitat. Thanks to these volunteers and staff!
