City of Mercer Island issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
Each year, the MIYFS Foundation recognizes an individual, family or organization for their contributions to the Island with their Community Philanthropy Award. At the Foundation's 20th Annual Virtual Fundraising Breakfast last week, the award was given to all Mercer Island Youth & Family Services counselors and support staff in recognition of their tireless work during the pandemic. Congrats!
YFS Foundation Board Member Robin Moore and local high school student AJ Wolff presented the award at the virtual meeting, with Youth and Family Services staff in attendance. The presenters lauded the department's dedication and staff's many contributions.
The City of Mercer Island thanks the YFS Foundation for recognizing these dedicated staff members and extends gratitude to the Island community for their support! Thank you!
