Green Issaquah: Volunteer Event on Mar. 5

Volunteer

City of Issaquah recently issued the following announcement.

Date: Mar. 5, 2022

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location: Emily Darst Park

Address: Along Pickering Trail

                Issaquah, WA 98027

Start your weekend with some refreshing outdoor activity as we remove blackberry bushes and other invasive species near beautiful downtown Issaquah. Help us prepare this area for a tree planting event in April. Limited spots available.

What to Bring

Make sure to bring clothes for whatever weather comes our way and sturdy shoes (always bring a rain coat!). We might work in some wetland areas so waterproof/sturdy shoes are encouraged. We will have tools and gloves but feel free to bring your own. Be sure to stay hydrated, bring some water and snacks. Masks required.

Where to Meet

We will meet near the Pickering Barn and walk to the work site from there. The Pickering Barn is located at 1730 10th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027

Our worksite will be along the Emily Darst Park trail. Walk south along Pickering Trail to Emily Darst Park until you see our work party!

Where to Park

Park at the Pickering Barn parking lot 1730 10th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027.
