Reminder: State and County Mask Mandate Ends March 12th
Washington State and King County are changing masking guidelines, with the removal of indoor mask policies in most establishments, and a move from mask requirements to mask recommendations in schools. This change will occur at 11:59 p.m., on March 11th, and be in full effect on Saturday, March 12th.
Seeking Applicants for Vacancies on Planning Commission
The City of North Bend is seeking applicants for multiple vacancies on the Planning Commission, terms expiring May 18, 2024 or May 18, 2026. The Commission is an advisory body to the City Council that prepares and recommends coordinated plans, regulations, and restrictions for the physical development of the City.
North Bend Pump Track Dig and Ride Event, April 5th
The Evergreen Mountain Alliance and Si View Metropolitan Parks District invites bike enthusiasts of all skill levels to volunteer at the Pump Track Dig and Ride event, on April 5th, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Located at 750 East North Bend Way, the 35,000 square foot bike park is a place for riders of all ages and all abilities.
Spring Cleaning with North Bend’s Yard Waste Recycling Program
As we inch closer and closer to spring, residents are itching to get outside and beautify those back and front yards. The North Bend Yard Waste Recycling Program is here to help, beginning April 23rd!
Mayor McFarland Proclaims March Resilience Month
The City recognizes the importance of promoting community engagement around the topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), the effect of ACEs and toxic stress on the developing brain, and how resilience building strategies buffer these predicted negative impacts. Live Music is BACK…at Downtown Block Party, July 16th
After a two-year pandemic-related hiatus, Downtown Block Party returns to North Bend! Coordinated by the City of North Bend and the North Bend Downtown Foundation, this free annual summer festival brings together local, regional and nationally recognized musicians, as well as local community performers. This year’s music lineup includes Hell’s Belles, The Black Tones, Harmonious Funk, Santa Poco, Eden, Stacy Jones Band, The Together Collective, Ian Jones and Amber Lanterns. Performances include Mount Si Wildcats Dance Team, Z Ultimate Self Defense, Cascade Dance Academy and Veils of the Nile!
More Free COVID-19 Tests
This month, individuals are eligible to receive four more COVID-19 tests via the U.S. Postal Service, even if you ordered four free tests earlier this winter. Order yours HERE.
North Bend Covid-19 Activity
During the last seven days, according to King County Public Health, one new COVID-19 case was reported – a 75% decrease from the previous week. No new hospitalizations were reported this past week.
