What happened to the median home price in Newcastle during Q2?

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2022 in Newcastle rose by $461,750 while total sales decreased by 11.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June, there were 30 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,716,750 - a 36.8 percent increase over the $1,255,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 34 homes sold in Newcastle in the second quarter of 2021.

The median sales tax in Newcastle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $7,041, approximately 0.4 percent of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2022.
