Rep. Suzan DelBene, a U.S. Congress member representing Washington's 1st district since 2012, recently shared her views on various issues through social media posts. DelBene has been vocal about economic policies and government accountability.

On January 24, 2025, Rep. DelBene criticized the House GOP budget proposal, stating that it would "make America less affordable by raising the cost of owning a home & getting health insurance." She further argued that "Republicans plan to use these cuts to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy & well-connected," which she believes is not an effective way to lower prices for families. "The House GOP budget would make America less affordable by raising the cost of owning a home & getting health insurance."

On January 25, 2025, she addressed actions taken by former President Trump regarding federal agencies' oversight. According to DelBene, Trump "illegally purged the independent watchdogs at a swath of federal agencies last night who root out taxpayer waste, fraud, & abuse in the government." She expressed concern that he intends to replace them with loyalists who might overlook corruption issues at taxpayers' expense. "Trump illegally purged the independent watchdogs at a swath of federal agencies last night who root out taxpayer waste, fraud, & abuse in the government."

On January 26, 2025, Rep. DelBene celebrated cultural diversity by participating in Lunar New Year festivities in Bellevue. She highlighted the importance of traditions and diversity within communities while wishing everyone a happy Year of the Snake. "Celebrating Lunar New Year in Bellevue & honoring the vibrant traditions & diversity that make our community so special."
