Rep. Suzan DelBene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district, has made several statements regarding President Donald Trump's recent policies. DelBene, a seasoned politician who took office in 2012, expressed concerns over the impact of these policies on the economy, automotive market, and national security.

In a tweet dated April 3, 2025, DelBene criticized a tax increase imposed by Trump, stating that "Trump’s massive tax hike on American families & businesses is tanking the stock market & throwing our economy into chaos. That is a fact."

Later on April 3, 2025, she addressed the impact on automotive prices, noting that "Thinking about getting a new car soon? Trump’s tax on imported cars & car parts goes into effect today & they’re estimated to raise car prices by over $3,000."

On April 4, 2025, DelBene raised national security concerns, calling out Trump's advisors' use of unsecured communication channels. She tweeted, "Trump’s top national security advisers’ reckless use of Signal & Gmail endangers our troops. Our most sensitive military info is being handled by incompetent lackeys." She has urged Congressional Republicans to investigate these security protocols.
