Rep. Suzan DelBene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district since 2012, recently addressed several national issues in a series of social media posts.

On March 12, 2026, DelBene raised concerns about the misuse of taxpayer information, stating “DOGE abused access to private taxpayer information. An employee stole nearly 500 million Americans’ Social Security data.

The Trump admin must be held accountable for mishandling sensitive information & betrayal of trust with the American people.”

The following day, on March 13, 2026, she commented on reproductive rights: “Republicans just launched their latest effort to deny access to reproductive care. They want to ban mifepristone in all 50 states.

We must fight back against this attack on reproductive freedom.”

Later that same day, DelBene expressed condolences after a military incident: “Heartbroken to learn 6 U.S. servicemembers were killed in the KC-135 crash in western Iraq. My thoughts & prayers are with their families.”

Suzan DelBene has represented Washington’s 1st District since replacing Jay Inslee in 2012 and is currently serving her constituents from Medina. She was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962 and holds degrees from Reed College and the University of Washington.
