U.S. Representative Suzan DelBene, who has represented Washington’s 1st district in Congress since 2012, posted a series of messages on October 21, 2025, addressing topics ranging from domestic violence awareness to local sports and national politics.

In her first post of the day, DelBene recognized Domestic Violence Awareness Month by stating: “During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we honor the bravery of survivors of domestic violence. If you or a loved one is a victim of domestic violence, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE.” (October 21, 2025)

Later that afternoon, she expressed appreciation for Seattle’s Major League Baseball team with the message: “Thanks for a great season, @Mariners! You gave Washington fans so much to cheer for. Can’t wait to see what next year brings “ (October 21, 2025)

In an evening post focused on former President Donald Trump, DelBene wrote: “Trump’s number one priority is enriching himself, not fighting for you.” (October 21, 2025)

Suzan DelBene was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962 and currently resides in Medina. She holds degrees from Reed College and the University of Washington. After replacing Jay Inslee in Congress in 2012, she has continued to serve as a Democratic representative for Washington’s 1st district.
