Rep. Suzan DelBene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district since 2012, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing national economic policies, support for living organ donors, and concerns over voter data privacy.

On December 2, 2025, DelBene criticized current federal economic measures, stating, “The president’s tariffs & economic policies are directly raising your prices & he refuses to do anything to help families who are suffering right now.”

The following day, she highlighted the challenges faced by living organ donors. In her post dated December 3, 2025, DelBene wrote, “Living organ donors give the incredible gift of life, but they incur bills for lost wages, travel expenses, & child care. We need to better support living donors & that’s why we need to pass legislation I’ve introduced that would remove some of these barriers.”

Later on December 3, DelBene addressed a legal dispute involving the Trump administration and the state of Washington regarding voter information. She stated in her post: “The Trump admin is suing WA for refusing to turn over our entire voter database, which includes names, birthdates, and SSNs. This is sensitive personal information & it should be protected!”

DelBene has served as a congressional representative since replacing Jay Inslee in 2012. She was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962 and currently resides in Medina. Her educational background includes degrees from Reed College and the University of Washington.
