Representative Suzan DelBene shared several updates on her social media. A member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district since 2012, DelBene used this platform to address diverse topics ranging from festive greetings to advocacy for social programs and acknowledgment of female leadership.

On April 13, 2025, DelBene extended her wishes for the Passover festival, “Wishing all who celebrate a happy Passover. Chag Pesach Sameach!” She marked the cultural and religious significance of the event with her greeting.

On the following day, April 14, 2025, DelBene highlighted her commitment to safeguarding social security benefits. She expressed solidarity with Washington residents relying on these benefits, “This constituent from Marysville is just one of the 1.5 million Washingtonians who rely on Social Security to make ends meet. I’m fighting to prevent President Trump & Elon Musk from destroying this program & denying you the benefits you’ve paid into for years.”

On April 15, 2025, DelBene celebrated the progress of female leaders in Washington. She commented on the state’s leadership role in gender equality, stating that “Washington women are making their mark. It’s great to see that WA is leading the way for female leaders.” DelBene’s recognition of women’s achievements aligns with her long-standing political career that began after succeeding Jay Inslee in representing Washington’s 1st District in 2012. Suzan DelBene, born in Selma, Alabama, completed her education at Reed College and the University of Washington.
