Rep. Suzan DelBene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district, has made several announcements on social media concerning her work and initiatives. Since replacing Jay Inslee in 2012, DelBene has been actively involved in legislative matters and community engagement.

On June 8, 2025, Rep. DelBene announced her nominations for over $40 million in dedicated federal funding for projects across WA-01. This initiative aims to support various community projects within the district she represents.

The following day, on June 9, 2025, she invited individuals interested in learning about Congress to apply for internships at her Bellevue or Washington D.C. offices. The opportunity promises hands-on experience in serving communities within WA-01.

Later that day, Rep. DelBene announced an Instagram Live session with fellow politician Patty Murray to discuss what they termed as Republicans’ “Big Broken Promise.” The discussion is expected to cover potential impacts on healthcare coverage and pricing.
