Rep. Suzan DelBene, who represents Washington’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her recent engagements with educators and community organizations through a series of posts on September 24, 2025.
In one post, DelBene expressed gratitude to local educators for participating in a forum focused on school challenges and federal support. She wrote on September 24, 2025: “Thank you to the teachers & school leaders who joined my educator forum last night to discuss the challenges our schools face & how I can support them at the federal level. I’m going to continue working to ensure our classrooms have what they need to help our kids excel.”
Later that day, DelBene highlighted her visit to Centro Cultural Mexicano and its upcoming art exhibition for Hispanic Heritage Month. In her post dated September 24, 2025, she stated: “Great to tour Centro Cultural Mexicano, learn more about their work, & see their upcoming Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibition opening Thursday. From cultural events to youth programs, they’re making a real difference in our community.”
She also congratulated the Seattle Mariners baseball team for reaching the postseason with a message posted on September 24, 2025: ” Congrats to the Mariners — postseason bound! Let’s ride this wave all the way.”
Suzan DelBene has served as U.S. Representative for Washington’s 1st district since replacing Jay Inslee in 2012. She was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962 and currently resides in Medina. DelBene is an alumna of Reed College and the University of Washington.
