On November 17, 2024, Rep. DelBene highlighted the impact of the bipartisan infrastructure law over the past three years. She stated that it has been instrumental in “improving safety, reducing traffic, making our communities greener,” and contributing to job creation in Washington state. She expressed her commitment to continue advocating for federal investments that enhance regional infrastructure. “Over the last 3 years, the bipartisan infrastructure law has been driving WA forward by improving safety, reducing traffic, making our communities greener, & helping create good-paying jobs. I’ll continue advocating for federal investments that boost our region’s infrastructure.”
On November 18, 2024, she addressed serious allegations involving Matt Gaetz, who was nominated by former President Trump as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer. Rep. DelBene emphasized the need for transparency by urging the release of an Ethics Committee report concerning Gaetz’s investigation related to sexual misconduct with a minor. “Matt Gaetz, Trump’s nominee for the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, was under investigation for serious allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor. The Ethics Committee report must be released so the Senate & the public have full transparency.”
In another post dated November 19, 2024, Rep. DelBene commented on Nancy Mace’s experience with gender discrimination as the first woman graduate from The Citadel and criticized what she described as bullying behavior towards Mace. “Nancy Mace was the first woman to graduate from The Citadel. She knows full well the pain of gender discrimination & the impact of bigoted policies. This is bullying & she should be ashamed.”
