Rep. Suzan DelBene, a U.S. Congress member representing Washington’s 1st district since 2012, has recently shared her views and initiatives on social media. On June 14, 2025, Rep. DelBene expressed her grief over a violent incident involving political figures. “I’m heartbroken & disgusted by the targeted political attack that took the lives of State Rep. Melissa Hortman & her husband, Mark.” She extended her prayers to State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette while emphasizing the necessity to condemn all forms of political violence for the sake of democracy.
The following day, June 15, she highlighted Men’s Health Awareness Month as an opportunity to focus on preventive care and mental well-being for men of all ages. “June is Men’s Health Awareness Month,” she noted, urging continued efforts to ensure access to necessary healthcare services.
On June 16, DelBene announced her push for federal funding aimed at infrastructure improvement along Lake Washington in Bellevue. “I’m pushing for $500,000 to help replace 15 miles of old sewer pipes along Lake Washington in Bellevue,” she stated. This initiative is intended to enhance water quality and reliability for future generations.
