In her tweet, she emphasized her commitment to fighting for privacy against what she described as an “unprecedented attack.” “My office is receiving calls from people outraged over Musk’s illegal access to gov systems. Americans’ sensitive info, including bank & Social Security numbers, is at risk in the hands of an unelected billionaire. I am fighting for your privacy against this unprecedented attack.”

On February 5, 2025, Rep. DelBene shared details of a meeting with members of the Northshore and Lake Washington school boards. The discussion focused on ways to better support students, educators, and schools. In another tweet dated February 6, 2025, Rep. DelBene accused former President Donald Trump of allowing Elon Musk unauthorized access to government payment systems which could potentially compromise personal financial data such as banking and Social Security information. She called for accountability and demanded answers regarding this alleged breach.“Trump is allowing Elon Musk to break into the government’s payment system, giving him access to YOUR banking, Social Security, & health info. I’m demanding answers on how this illegal breach of your financial & personal data happened.”
