Rep. Suzan DelBene, who represents Washington’s 1st congressional district, shared a series of updates with her constituents on social media in early January 2026.
On January 1, DelBene reflected on her engagement with residents over the past year, writing, “This year, I connected with constituents across WA-01, from townhalls to community events. Each conversation reminded me why I continue to fight for you.”
Later that day, she extended holiday greetings and looked ahead to the coming year: “Wishing everyone in WA-01 a happy & healthy New Year! Excited to keep working together in 2026 to build stronger communities & a brighter future.”
On January 3, DelBene addressed recent international developments by posting: “My statement on Trump’s military operation in Venezuela:” The post did not include further details about the statement or operation.
Suzan DelBene has represented Washington’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Jay Inslee in 2012. She was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962 and currently resides in Medina. DelBene holds degrees from Reed College and the University of Washington.
