In a statement made on March 27, 2025, DelBene emphasized the consequences of actions by the Trump administration and Republican counterparts on international relations, particularly with Canada. She remarked, “While Trump & Republicans continue to damage our relationship with our closest allies like Canada, Washingtonians are paying the price. We have already seen declines in tourism & manufacturing.”

She stated, “Trump, Musk, & Republicans are trying to dismantle the IRS’ ability to go after financial crimes & wealthy tax cheats. My bill would keep agents focused on the important work they’re trained to do.”
