Washington State edges Oregon State 7-6 in NCAA Division I baseball, with Pirello contributing

Washington State, with former Skyline High School standout Mason Pirello on the roster, narrowly defeated Oregon State 7-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball contest on Tuesday, April 7, at 1:05 p.m.

The matchup was held at Bailey-Brayton Field and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Cougars had previously lost to the Beavers 18-0 in their game on Monday, April 6.

Pirello finished the game with one hit in three at-bats, registered one strikeout, and left one teammate stranded on base.

Washington State’s next game is set for Thursday, April 9, at Bailey-Brayton Field against the Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.
