Washington State’s college baseball team suffered a 12-5 defeat to the Nevada Wolf Pack in their NCAA Division I game at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, March 29. Former Skyline High School standout Mason Pirello is a current member of the Cougars.
The contest was held at Bailey-Brayton Field and marked the third meeting between the teams this season, with the season series now even.
Pirello ended the afternoon with a hit in four at-bats, tallying two runs, one RBI, a walk and two strikeouts, and stranded three teammates on base.
The Cougars are set to face the Seattle Redhawks on Tuesday, March 31, at Bannerwood Baseball Park.
