Traffic Alert: Mill Pond Road, Snoqualmie Parkway Lane Closures Required for Pavement Repairs

Drivers should plan for intermittent lane closures and  potential traffic delays along Snoqualmie Parkway, as well as a full  closure of Mill Pond Road, the week of July 18th.

On Thursday,  July 21 and Friday, July 22, 2022, Public Works crews will  intermittently close one lane of Snoqualmie Parkway to accommodate crack  and seal pavement repairs. Work is anticipated to occur between 7am to  5pm both days.

Crack and seal pavement repairs will be utilized  for one additional year in advance of Washington State funding the  complete repaving of Snoqualmie Parkway between I-90 and SR 202. During  this year’s legislative session, the state agreed to fund the majority  of the Parkway repaving project due to 80% of the current pavement  damage being caused by regional truck traffic.

Snoqualmie Parkway is expected to be fully repaved during summer 2023.

Additionally,  a full closure of Mill Pond Road - from .1 mile southeast of SR 202  (near the Tokul roundabout) to Meadowbrook Way - will occur on Tuesday,  July 19, 2022. The closure will last from approximately 7am to 5pm for  similar roadway repairs.

Because Mill Pond Road is a narrow,  two-lane road and sits adjacent to the Snoqualmie River, a full closure  is required for driver and worker safety. Drivers should utilize  Railroad Ave/SR 202 as an alternate route.

The City thanks  residents for their patience as crews work to repair and preserve  pavement on these critical stretches of roadway.
