Application deadline for course is July 27
Are you a curious person? Would you like to meet and talk with your local elected officials? Do you know how your city (and all the services it provides) really works? If you have a
passion for learning more about your local city government and want to connect with others interested in building their civic knowledge and community connections, apply now to
join the 2022 Bellevue Essentials class.
In this 10-week course, participants will engage with city council members, staff and leadership to learn about the past, present and future of Bellevue through presentations,
interactive experiences and on-site tours of some of the city’s nerve centers.
The course begins Sept. 28 and continues every Wednesday evening for nine weeks, plus two Saturday morning sessions Sept. 24 and Oct. 8.
Each year a diverse group of 35 people are selected to participate, learn, engage and simulate the day-to-day challenges and opportunities Bellevue faces. Applicants from all
demographics and neighborhoods are encouraged to apply. Tuition is $150 and fee waivers are available as needed.
The simple, one-page application is due Wednesday, July 27 at 5 p.m. The application form and more information can be found at Bellevue Essentials.
