Coming Soon: New Riverview Park Playground Equipment and Fisher Creek Park Zip Lines Repair

On July 25, 2022, the Snoqualmie City  Council adopted Resolution No. 1618, approving the purchase of new  playground equipment for Riverview Park, located at 39000 SE Park

Street  in downtown Snoqualmie.

The Riverview Park Playground  Replacement Project is part of the City’s adopted 2021-2026 Capital  Improvement Plan. The current playground equipment is over 25 years old.

After reviewing 11 vendor proposals, the City’s Parks and  Events Commission recommended approving a $418,000 playground equipment  contract with Allplay Systems, LLC.

The new Riverview Park  Playground will feature a railroad theme and includes a new swing set.  It will also be accessible for wheelchairs, except for slides, and  includes rubber

surface material – doing away with the playground’s  current play chip base.

The City is hopeful the new playground will be installed within the next year.

Within  the next month, the Parks Department will also be repairing the popular  zip lines at Fisher Creek Park. The repair has taken longer than  anticipated due to the manufacturer

no longer making this exact product.  The Parks Dept. was able to recently source replacement parts that will  maintain the zip lines for years to come.
