Details

The City is hosting two recycling collection and bin sale events this fall.

These events are brought to you in partnership with: Eastside Catholic School, WA State Department of

Ecology, the King County Solid Waste Division, the Hazardous Waste Management Program

in King County, and the Washington Materials Management and Financing Authority.

Cash only is accepted for the items with a charge.

Please note - a second fall recycling event will be held on 11/5 for collection of items like Styrofoam, appliances,

scrap metal, and other items. Look for a notice in the mail or on the City website.

WHAT IS ACCEPTED AT THE September 18 RECYCLING EVENT?

Tires

Limit 6 passenger tires per household (18 inches and below) free of charge. $1.50 for extra tires off rim.

$3.00 for each passenger tire on rim. $9 charged for each large truck tire and $18 charged for each truck tire

on rim (cash only). No oversized tires accepted.

Lead Acid Batteries

Car, truck, marine, motorcycle, and sealed lead acid batteries accepted.

Alkaline Batteries

AAAA, AAA, AA, A, B, C, and D cell alkaline batteries. No rechargeable, cell phone,

or nicad batteries accepted. Lithium-ion batteries, like tool and vape batteries, will not be accepted.

Electronic / Computer Equipment

DVD players, VCRs, stereo equipment, printers, copiers, fax machines,

scanners, and cellular phones (remove personal information). Computers and computer monitors (no charge),

mouse, keyboards, tablet computers, and e-readers.

Television Sets

TV sets encased in plastic, wood console, sets encased in wood, and big screen TVs

accepted (no charge).

Rain Barrel, Compost, and Worm Bin Sale

Very limited supply. All items $25 each. Cash only. No pre or post event sales.

Please provide exact change for user fees.
