Happy Friday, North Bend! Welcome to the newest edition of your Weekly Recap. Remember to click linked headlines for articles and posts.

Meet up with the Mayor returns on Wednesday: Stop by The North Bend Bakery at 10 a.m. and chat over coffee and snacks with Mayor McFarland. Get to know your mayor while discussing city-related topics that are important to you. Can't make this meet-up? That's okay. This is the first in a series of monthly events.

A great way to help your community: Join the Human Services Task Force! The City is seeking to appoint three to five residents to serve on the Human Services Task Force. Members will advise the mayor on a variety of matters relating to the City’s biennial Human Services grant funding program. Residents wishing to apply for this position should write a letter that states their interest and what they feel they will contribute to the task force. Please email your letter to Administrative Services Director Lisa Escobar, lescobar@northbendwa.gov, or via mail, to the North Bend City Hall, attention to Lisa Escobar: 920 SE Cedar Falls Way.

March 21st City Council Meeting: The community is invited to join City staff and elected officials for the in-person/hybrid March 21st City Council meeting at 7 p.m., located at the North Bend City Hall. Topics include:

  • A presentation recognizing the 2023 North Bend Citizens Academy graduates
  • A presentation on Snoqualmie Valley Health

Yardwaste Recycling Program returns next weekend: The 2023 North Bend Yardwaste Recycling program begins March 25th. The annual recycling program is open to North Bend residents and property owners on select Saturdays, from March through October, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the North Bend Public Works building, located at 1155 E North Bend Way.
