Suzan DelBene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 1st district since 2012, recently shared her views on social media regarding pressing political issues. DelBene, who succeeded Jay Inslee, has been vocal on matters she believes significantly impact her constituents.

On April 1, 2025, DelBene criticized the impact of certain fiscal policies. She expressed her concerns about the Republican stance, stating "Only a fool would believe that tariffs are tax cuts. Republicans are increasing costs of everyday goods & trying to cut Medicaid & Social Security so they can give another massive tax break to their wealthy friends & donors."

Further, on April 2, 2025, she addressed the closure of a local office related to child education services, asserting that "Head Start provides preschool services for 15,000+ WA children. Yesterday, Trump illegally closed the regional office that supports the Head Start programs in our area. This senseless decision puts the care & education of our kids at risk and will only cost our communities more." DelBene sees this closure as a threat to her community's educational framework and economic well-being.
