Rep. Suzan DelBene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 1st district since 2012, recently shared her thoughts on various issues through social media posts. Her comments addressed topics ranging from disaster relief to international relations and economic policies.

On November 25, 2024, Rep. DelBene highlighted the impact of recent storms in her area, emphasizing the federal government's duty to respond effectively to disasters. She stated, "The recent deadly storms in our area are a reminder that the federal government has a responsibility to respond to disasters & provide relief." Furthermore, she urged Congress to allocate additional resources for FEMA to assist affected communities.

The following day, on November 26, 2024, Rep. DelBene discussed international ties between South Korea and Washington state. After meeting with Consul General Seo Eunji, she noted their discussion aimed at strengthening regional connections. She remarked, "South Korea & Washington have strong cultural & economic ties."

Later that same day, Rep. DelBene expressed concerns about proposed tariffs that could financially burden American businesses and consumers. She warned that these tariffs would result in increased costs for families and announced her legislative efforts to limit presidential power over such tariff impositions without congressional approval. In her words: "These tariffs would be taxes paid by AMERICAN businesses & passed onto AMERICAN consumers through higher prices."
