Suzan DelBene addresses Trump's agenda and National Airport tragedy

Suzan DelBene, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington's 1st district since 2012, recently shared her thoughts on several issues via social media. DelBene, who succeeded Jay Inslee in Congress and was born in Selma, Alabama in 1962, is known for her active engagement with constituents.

On January 29, 2025, DelBene expressed her stance against former President Trump's initiatives by stating: "We took action to protect families from this unlawful & extreme overreach. I will remain vigilant against future attempts by President Trump to impose his Project 2025 agenda."

The following day, January 30, she addressed a tragic event: "Heartbroken by the tragic plane crash at National Airport last night. My thought & prayers are with the victims’ families & our servicemembers. I’m incredibly thankful for the immediate response from local first responders at the scene."

Later that same day, DelBene reached out to her followers concerning recent events: "I know the last few days have been full of questions, so I wanted you to hear from me directly. To let us know how this has impacted you, please visit https://t.co/5lRxBlrjUv. #republicanripoff"
